About O3 Lims

O3 Lims is a modern and flexible web based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Our architecture is among the most modern today. It was mainly developed in the Perl language and the system preferably uses a MySQL database.

O3 Lims enables your laboratory with safe handling of everything from sample registration and analysis registration to reporting with full traceability. Here are some of the features O3 Lims can offer today:

Web-based and flexible language options

Increases availability and facilitates the support and updates. Also opens possibilities for international companies and laboratories to use the same system and share eachother’s results. The system and reports can be obtained in any language.

User friendly

O3 Lims usability is based on making information, at all levels, easy to scan and overview. There are always filters available to help users find specific samples, analysis, objects, customers, reports etc.

Object Orientation / Trend Graphs

If you want to follow up your sample results from a certain object or source (machine, end product, commodity, patient, etc.) O3 Lims always presents the results from various objects or sources in a graph over time so that it is easy to get an overview and see trends.

Customer Portal

Your customers or other staff can see results, reports and trend curves when they log in to O3 Lims Customer Portal. You decide which customers will have access to the customer portal and the information they may see.

Work order

With the ability to create work orders, ie, a list of all the samples to be analyzed on a particular instrument, O3Lims makes laboratory work easier and more efficient and allows better utilization of staff.

Traceability / Audit Trail

O3 Lims offers full traceability and history to ensure that any regulatory requirements are met.

Authorities

A flexible authority system allows different users authority to different actions in the system. It is also easy to create so-called user groups in the system.

Flexibility

O3 Lims never sets any limits. Customers can tailor the system to suit their own needs. For example, O3 Lims allows the user to create several different types of analysis templates, report templates and sample series etc.

Sample Series

For each sample series, you can determine which steps in the cycle (analysis, registration-authentication-appraisal-approval-reporting) each sample series must undergo. This means that your standard samples and calibration samples may have a different number of steps, defined by you.

Instrument import

In most cases you can transfer analysis results from a laboratory instrument within the O3 Lims system. This makes the results registration fast, efficient and secure.

Data types

O3 Lims accept results in the form of value, mean value, text, list-option, multi-graph, color, file, image, link, and advanced formulas can also be created.

Limits

For each analysis and sample type, accepted limits can be specified in the system. When the user registers values that are outside the specified limits, the system will signal immediately.

Labels

With a label printer connected to your computer, O3 Lims can generate labels with sample numbers as well as other desired information. Bar codes are also possible for later use of bar code scanners.

Reporting

O3 Lims allows comprehensive, automatic generation of final reports from templates making it quick and easy to relay results back to the customer. Reports (PDF or text) can be transferred directly on the web through the O3 customer website or sent by e-mail. The reports can also be printed with any logotype needed.

Statistics

O3 Lims has an advanced statistical tool which allows users to extract information according to a number of parameters and then import it into Excel for further statistical calculations.

Invoices

From O3 Lims advanced printable invoices can be generated where the prices of the performed analysis is given (with any eventual discounts).

Diary and messaging functions

Your laboratory and your customers can communicate via the diary or by using the built-in emailing functionality. All communication is then stored in the system, collected in one place instead of spread out in a separate email program.

File upload

At many places in the system files can be uploaded, such as object files, method descriptions, pictures, etc.

Activities

O3 Lims can automatically send a message to the laboratory’s customers to remind them of submitting samples for continuous sample monitoring. Alternatively, this feature can also be used to remind the laboratory technicians of periodic instrument calibration.

Price and Development
